A present from London

Had a hectic week going from Hackney to King’s Cross, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to meet so many talented people. I’m not going to mention how dodgy Hackney is, but I will say the common room in my halls of residence was filled with displays of pretty shoes, which made me feel at home.

When I first arrived, the common room always seemed to be empty, but I didn’t allow it to stay that way for very long! One night, I invited my classmates to party with my flatmates and I had one of the most amazing nights there with everyone.

I’m really thankful that I had so much fun in the class called ‘Developing Your Creativity’ by Rod Judkins. He’s so talented! I still cannot believe I was taught by such an established artist. You can tell how knowledgeable he is by his ability to talk about so many different artists from the top of his head. I wish I could learn more from him, but unfortunately the course was too short! He was also generous enough to give each of us a free copy of his new book ‘Change Your Mind’. I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I really like it so far.   You guys should definitely check it out!

By the way, if I ever have the money, I would do a Bachelors and Masters at Central St. Martins – this place is just magical! Sorry for the slanted photo – I was also running with the kids.

I was also really lucky to have a bunch of fun classmates to hang out with. We went Camden Market the other day after class and we found this lovely British hat (I’m assuming it’s a British hat). I didn’t want to buy it at first, because the salespeople seemed insistent on bargaining with me, so I left… But then, my classmate, Reno, surprised me with the hat the next day! So I thought why not put it in an outfit and post it on my blog?

I think burgundy is my colour. I just wanted to contrast the colours by pairing it with a navy outfit, with a pink necklace to finish off the look. Chic and British. Done.
